Ram Dayal Joshi, the Founder of Baidyanath. The Age Ayurveda range consists of herbal dietary supplements as well as personal care products to be sold as OTC products in the United States.

The same Age Ayurveda range (The range of dietary supplements developed specifically for the U.S. market to be sold as OTC products.) was introduced in the Indian market, in the year 2007, to be sold through Multi-Level-Direct-Selling (Which we call Direct-to-Consumer {D2C}) under able leadership of Mr Mohammad Aqeel Syed, the MD & CEO of Herbalage Wellness Company (Which is incorporated as Herbalage Network & Research Private Limited).

Herbalage Wellness Company was co-founded by Mr Mohammad Aqeel Syed, with the vision to capture the next Trillion-Dollar-Wellness-Industry, which is according to a FICCI-Ernst and Young study titled 'Wellness-Exploring the Untapped Potential', the wellness services market, presently estimated at INR 11,000 crores, would sustain an annual growth rate of about 30-35 percent for the next five years.

One of the “Baidyanath group Company”, which was founded in the year 1963, owns the brand called "AGE AYURVEDA". Its product range consisted of mainly herbal products, which were specially designed for ethical promotion in India.

In the year 2004 with the view to the emerging export opportunity, our fire band director Mr. Dhananjay Sharma and his team developed a range of dietary supplement specifically for the U.S. market to be sold as O.T.C. products. That range was launched in the U.S. under the brand name Age Ayurveda. Age Ayurveda range consists of World-Class Dietary Supplements and herbal-based personal care products.

Dietary Supplements

While fully utilizing the traditional and clinical experience of several thousand years of herbal practice. Two ranges of dietary supplements were developed:

1.  Formulations: As traditional systems use very complex formulas with a variety of ingredients, our approach has been to make formulations with a small group of essential herbs.

2.  Pure Herbs: Our second range consists of single ingredient products only.

Packing: All the packing are in Kosher certified V capsules, which are approved by the American Vegetarian Society and.)

Quality: The products undergo the highest quality test of chromatographic fingerprinting and then have to pass the WHO standards for metal and organoleptic testing."

Dhananjay Sharma, grandson of the visionary Late R.D. Joshi, founder of Baidyanath in 1917, (Worlds largest manufacturers of Ayurvedic preparations), joined the family business in the year 1990, after completing his masters from Boston U.S.A. As the President of the company he had distinctive plans for the future, foraying into different aspects of Ayurveda across the globe.

In the year 2001 his team developed a range of Herbal DietarySupplement under the brand name "Age Ayurveda", which consists of concept based personal care products. He inspiringly paved the way for the group to enter the export market. The global demand for herbal products is growing at the rate of 7% per annum, thanks to the growing awareness of Ayurveda.

Today they cover 20 countries in Europe, USA, parts of Middle East, South Africa, and Asia. Further information on this range of products can be found in the book he co-authoured "Age according to Ayurveda" .

With the growth of the Spa industry he introduced the idea of private labeling of "Herbal Spa Supplements" to be made available to anyone in their own brands. These supplements are manufactured at Baidyanath under the GMP and ISO approved facilities. These supplements are over the counter products and as such do not require any prescriptions. These products ideally suit the Spa client with its preventive approach or immunity builders. The supplements are divided into two ranges. Single herbs and formulations. They undergo the highest quality test of chromatographic fingerprinting and then have to pass the WHO standards for metal and organoleptic testing.
