Baidya.net Herbal Rejuvenation concept
|
|
|
| Baidya.net Herbalage Rejuvenation Concept is based on
the principles of Rasayana (rejuvenation) Therapy derived from Ayurveda
(The world's oldest recorded healing system dates back to 5000 yrs.)
, the ancient holistic system of healing from India. Which is justly
enjoying a widespread resurgence in popularity today. Savvy, health-conscious
individuals all over the world are taking more responsibility for their
own health and well-being. The old adage "prevention is better than
cure" makes increasingly more sense in a time when health-care is exorbitant
and fraught with risks such as dangerous side effects of drugs that
often lead to more problems instead of treating the illness they were
taken to address. HRT prevent un-natural aging neutralizing the effect
of Free Radicals (Ama) in our body thus enables us to explore a health
system to lead a healthy lifestyle and stop disease before it ever has
a chance to take root in the physiology.

What are free Radicals (Ama)?
|
| {In the language of Ayurveda free radicals are called
AMA. It is derived from 2 words: A+MA. A means near, near to, towards
and Ma means poison. Hence the word Ama denotes a substance or a group
of substances which is "near to poison" or "act like a poison".}
Free radicals produced in our body are unpaired unstable molecules,
lacking the appropriate electrons necessary to be stable. So, to gain
stability they are always on the lookout to swipe electrons from other
molecules such as DNA, protein and fat. They indiscriminately kill cells,
destroy enzymes and produce toxic chemicals that cause damage to cellular
functions. The primary site of free radical damage is the DNA found
in the mitochondria. Mitochondria are small membrane-enclosed regions
of a cell, which produce the chemicals a cell uses for energy. Mitochondria
are the "energy factory" of the cell. Every cell contains an enormous
set of molecules called DNA, which provide chemical instructions for
a cell to function. This DNA is found in the nucleus of the cell, which
serves as the "command center" of the cell, as well as in the mitochondria.
The cell automatically fixes much of the damage done to nuclear DNA.
However, the DNA in the mitochondria cannot be readily fixed.
Example: NaCl salt, which splits up into a chloride anion (Cl-)
negatively charged and a sodium cation (Na+) positively charged. But;
if the electrons split up, the atoms become free radicals.
One free radical can initiate tens of thousands of chain reactions,
somewhat similar to an atomic explosion; therefore, extensive DNA damage
accumulates over time and shuts down mitochondria, causing the cells
to die and the organism to age. ~
Hence, this free radical generation process can disrupt all levels of
cell function. This is why free radical damage is thought to be such
a basic mechanism of tissue injury. It damages us at the cellular level.
Thus Free radicals are a major contributing factor to nearly all situations
of non-ideal health. And such a continuous destructive action by free
radicals from lipid molecules over a period of time eventually manifest
as diseases of Cardiovascular, Kidney, Liver, Pancreas, Joint deceases,
Obesity, Diminished sexual vigor, Respiratory, Allergies, Stress related
problem etc.
This is exactly what our fore fathers in Ayurveda have outlined the
Concept of Free radical (AMA) formation, which when unchecked leads
to all types of ill-healthy conditions.

The concept of Rasayana (Rejuvenation)
|
|| Swasthasya urjaskanyastu tad vrishyam tad rasayanam ||
{Whatever that serves for augmenting the excellence of
health, is the mode of rejuvenation. Rasayana is the word for rejuvenation
in Ayurveda.}
In order to counteract these free radicals (AMA) in the body Ayurveda
advocates the use of Rasayana.
Rasayana is the word for rejuvenation in Ayurveda. One of the means
of achieving the Rasayana effect is through intake of related herbs.
Rasayana is a branch of Ayurveda, which aims to nourish, restore and
balance the body functions. According to Ayurvedic scripts, Rasayana
is generally used to rejuvenate the general health of the body or aims
at achieving the body's maximum potential through herbs. Therefore,
if an imbalance or a disease process occurs within the body, it is possible
to recover from this imbalance and regain equilibrium. This restoration
of balance or potential within the human body is called Rasayana.
All these Rasayanas can be used regularly as a food for maintaining
balanced mental and physical health.
Considering the Ayurvedic concepts of physiology Rasayana agent promotes
nutrition through one of the following three modes:
- By direct enrichment of the nutritional quality of nutritional plasma (rasa)
- By promoting nutrition through improving digestion & metabolism (agni)
- By promoting the competence of microcirculatory channels in the body {Detoxification} (srotas)
Thus the Baidya.net Herbalage Rejuvenation Concept focuses
on eradication of free radicals by improving digestion & metabolism
(Agni), enriching the nutritional quality of nutritional plasma (Rasa)
and promoting the competence of microcirculatory channels in the body
(Srotas).
One of the ways by which rejuvenation may be attained is through medicines.
Rasayana medicines use a group of individual herbs or medicinal drug
preparations that are complex mixtures based mostly on herbal products.
